Broadwater Down Primary School

Growing to Learn, Learning to Grow

School Information

We are a growing school, situated on the south side of Tunbridge Wells, which prides itself on treating families and children as individuals. We have increased to 7 classes - one per year group from Reception upwards.  We were judged to be a 'good' school in our last Ofsted inspection in 2013.

We have a talented and committed team of staff who work hard to ensure all lessons are inspirational, challenging and creative. A desire and determination to motivate a love of learning and to provide the best possible outcomes for all pupils is at the heart of everything we do.

We strive to achieve high standards and improve in all areas year on year. Our pupils reach or exceed national expectations in reading, writing and mathematics by the end of year 6 and attainment is constantly improving.

We are very proud of our school environment which includes raised bed allotments and a greenhouse near the entrance to the school, two hard-standing playgrounds, extensive playing fields, our own woodland, pond and wooden play area.

"I like that we have two playgrounds and that we can choose where we play".

We share our site with a Sure Start Children’s Centre, the Ark, which offers a range of activities and services and welcomes all families with children from birth to 5 years of age. Please click here to see if you would like to attend any of their groups or courses.
