 Weekly News

This week the children have continued working hard and have really been getting stuck into the new term.

This week we have covered:

Maths – place value to 10 million, Grammar – word classes with a particular focus on nouns, Science – we have begun looking at electricity and constructing simple series circuits, Art – self-portraits, PE – rounders and health and wellbeing, Forest School – whittling & fire lighting, RE – thinking about sacred and special places

  • Forest School continues to be on Thursday mornings – children should come to school in their Forest School clothes – including long-sleeved tops and trousers. They should also bring with them a bottle of water and a snack. Waterproof clothing is also advised once the weather turns.
  • Unfortunately, at this current time, the children will not be able to bring in sweets on their birthday.

PE is on Friday afternoons so the children should come into school in their PE kit. We also have ‘Health & Wellbeing’ on Tuesday so the children may wear PE kit on Tuesday as well!

We will do the Daily Mile on Monday and Wednesday – if the children wish to, they may bring in a pair of trainers for this – they should still come to school in their uniform and wearing school shoes.
