Last Friday, the children were lucky enough to have one of the first outside visitors of the school year, in the form of the brilliant team known as Fantastic Fred. This NHS workshop promotes mental health and wellbeing through a half-hour interactive show. We met Fantastic Fred and his scientist friend, who used a high-octane and very amusing show to work out why Fred was both fantastic and called Fred. F = Food, R = Rest, E = Exercise and D = Devices. These are the keys to children’s wellbeing and mental health…yes you’ve read that correctly, one of the keys to children’s’ mental health is spending time on devices…in moderation. The show was well received by all of the children and was a great addition to their ongoing work on wellbeing in class.
