For World Book Day this year, our theme was Heroes and Villains. We had some fantastic costumes and characters.

We started the day with assembly, Mrs Harris read to us an excerpt from one of her favourite books. Mrs Day then showed us some photos of characters from books, and we had to decide whether we thought they were heroes or villains.

The school then paraded around the playground, so we could all see each other’s costumes.

Throughout the day we took part in DEAR, Drop Everything And Read. Mrs Day came around the school, if she rang a bell, you had to stop what you were doing and read for 5 minutes.

A fun and entertaining day!
