On Tuesday 16th May, year six took a sunny afternoon stroll to the Assembly Halls for an audience with the one and only David Walliams. He regaled the packed-out theatre with stories from his career and inspirational advice on creating characters and writing stories. During the Q&A section of the event, two of our children shared with David an idea for a story. He invited them onto the stage and asked to hear more about it. When the girl’s asked for £1billion in royalties, David Walliams replied by saying it wasn’t worth that much but was probably, “Worth a tenner!” He gave the girls £10 and signed copies of his new book. A great time was had by all.
